Rwanda’s Health Ministry calls for increased vigilance, identifies 2 cases, total rises to 84

The Ministry of Health has announced two new cases of COVID-19 all of whom are “frequent travellers to multiple countries”

Rwandans through today’s announcement have been called upon to heighten vigilance and continue to observe guidelines of the health authorities and the government.

“Heightened vigilance continues to be required. The extension of the enhanced prevention measures announced by the government of Rwanda must be rigorously observed. Any Rwandans or legal residents returning to the country will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated locations” reads the announcement.

“Continue to observe instructions of the health authorities, particularly washing of hands regularly and maintaining physical distance from other people (at least I metre),” adds the announcement.
