Save Generations Organisation takes menstrual hygiene and COVID-19 awareness campaigns to Gasabo

The Executive Director ofSave Generations Organisation (SGO), Yvette Nyinawumuntu has today joined other stakeholders in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by calling Rwandan children and parents to abide by the government measures in place to slow down the spread of the pandemic.

Nyinawumuntu also urged adolescent girls to maintain proper hygiene during their menstrual periods.

“I passionately request children and parents to be responsible and consciously abide by all the measures put in place by the Government to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus,” observed Nyinawumuntu

Ms Nyinawumuntu remarked during the awareness campaign activities of menstrual hygiene and COVID-19 at GS Gabuga, Rusororo, Gasabo District that end today.

“Young girls with the help of their parents should always make menstrual hygiene a priority and make should they use correctly the materials we’re providing,” added Nyinawumuntu.

During this year’s awareness campaigns of menstrual hygiene management sponsored by Kvinna till Kvinna Internation, SGO distributed MHM hygiene materials and COVID-19 prevention materials to the beneficiaries in Gasabo District.  

Save Generations Organization (SGO), is a Rwandan development Non-Government Organization (NGO) dedicated to promote and advocate for child and women’s rights in order to prepare, empower and equip the future generations.

Save Generations Organization has been established in 2015 and is registered at Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) with legal personality number 008/ RGB /NGO/2016, issued in 2016

Its vision is aspiring to have a community that is able to raise up generations full of hope, with good values, dreams, ability and actions.
