MN Ventures Group Ltd Unveils Plan to Rollout Chai Seeds Growing in Kamonyi

The Managing Director of the Southern Province based Agriculture Company codenamed MN Ventures Group Ltd, Ernest Nyetera said that number one priority of the company in year2022 is to rollout the growing of Chai Seeds in the Kamonyi District.
“Number one priority of MN Ventures Group Ltd is to rollout the growing of Chai seeds in Kamonyi District this year,” observed Nyetera.
Nyetera was addressing the press on January 8, 2022, at Bunyonga Village, Karama Sector in Kamonyi District where a 5-ha plantation of Chai Seeds is located.
Apart from Chai Seeds, MN Ventures Group Ltd grows coffee, oranges, Rwanda Macadamia nuts as well as beekeeping.
The Kamonyi District based agriculturalist stressed that market diversification through strengthening market-oriented production and processing of diversified agricultural commodities will help to promote Rwanda’s Agro processing Sector.
The Company’s 2022 strategic plan aligns with the Strategic Plan for Agriculture Transformation 2018-2024 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources.
Nyetera has reiterated the group’s commitment to transform the livelihoods of the Rwandan people by transforming agriculture from subsistence to modern commercial Agriculture. Nyetera said that to eradicate poverty in his home area and in Rwanda in general, there is need to improve household incomes by encouraging residents to engage in growing cash crops that fetch sufficient revenue due to their high demand on the international market.
“We want the land under Chai Seeds growing to increase in the district this year,” Nyetera added.

Nyetera was flanked by Evariste Murangwa , the Commercial Director and Robert Rwigema, the Company’s Agronomist.
Evariste Murangwa announced that MN Ventures Group Ltd targets European markets and has already secured potential markets for Chai Seeds in Dubai.
“Since we started commercial modern farming particularly of Chai seeds, we have been searching for potential markets worldwide. And, we’re happy to announce that we have already secured a potential market for this crop in Dubai,” said Murangwa.
Rwigema spent the whole morning coaching the farm employees the proper ways of harvesting the Chai seeds in order to maintain the standards of the agricultural produce.
