COVID-19: Rwanda Embassy in the U.S steps up safety measures

Rwandan Embassy in the U.S has today announced new preventive measures in a bid to enhance the safety of Rwandan citizens and visitors to the Embassy premises in Washington D.C. as response to the outbreak of COVID-19.

In response to the evolving Coronavirus pandemic and in accordance to the recommendation of the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Embassy of Rwanda in Washington D.C is taking steps to protect the health and safety of our citizens and visitors,” said the statement posted through twitter today.

“As we recognize our responsibility to prevent further spread of the virus,” added the statement.   

The Embassy says that effective today visa applications, birth certificates and police clearance certificate can only be applied directly online via www.irembo.gov.rw among other measures. See full statement below:
