Zambia, Rwanda Sign a Couple of Bilateral Deals

Rwandan President Paul Kagame and his Zambian counterpart President Hakainde Hichilema, April 4, 2022 witnessed the signing of several MoUs in trade and cooperation.

The bilateral agreements in Agriculture particularly Fisheries and Livestock development, trade, health, immigration among others were signed by Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation Ministers –  Stanley Kakubo and Vicent Biruta at Avan Hotel in Livingstone City, Zambia’s tourist capital in the Southern part of the country.

“President Kagame and President Hichilema preside over the signing of bilateral agreements on taxation, immigration, health, investment promotion, agriculture, fisheries and livestock,” said a statement accessed on the official tweeter account of Village Urugwiro.

 President Kagame and his host toured Victoria Falls, a waterfall on the Zambezi River in Southern Africa that provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals.

Today, President Kagame and his host planted trees at the Kazungula One-Stop Border Post and toured the Kazungula Bridge.

“President Kagame, President @HHichilema and First Lady @MrsHichilema planted trees at the Kazungula One-Stop Border Post and toured the Kazungula Bridge which supports trade and transport linking Zambia and Botswana over the Zambezi River,” said a statement from Village Urugwiro today.

During his two-working visit to Zambia, President Kagame was treated to genial welcome that included a visit to key tourist sites including the Victoria Falls.

President Hakainde Hichilema received President Kagame at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport yesterday.
