Spartans Cricket Club have guaranteed themselves a place at the finals in the Division 2 men UNIMONI-RCA Premier League having defeated IndoRwa in the semi-final game played over the weekend at IPRC-Kigali.

Opting to bat first, Indorwa posted 74 all out in 22 overs in return, it was all smiles for Spartans who chased the modest target in 15 overs to win by 8 wickets.

Spartans under 19 international Shema Yvan picked 7 wickets for 18 runs in his 6 overs for his side to become the player of the match and was ably supported by his captain Mahebub Shaikh who took 2 wickets for 20 runs.

Spartans will play Zonic Tigers in the second division final on 3rd November both teams have qualified to play in Division 1 next year In the division 1 match played at Gahanga stadium.

In the other game played, Right Guards batted first and posted a low score of 109 all out in- the game that was interrupted by rain KCC and was given a revised target of 85 runs in 27 overs which they achieved for a loss of 5 wickets And hence won by 28 runs by Duckworth–Lewis method. Attachments area
